Academic
Kambengo nursery & lower basic schools provides some academic options to help students to develop their skills or supports them in their curriculum areas. We provide our students with excellent collaboration, creative, problem solving and divergent thinking skills.
The ministry of education and the community have a trust in our academic system in the Gambia. After stabling a very good nursery school programmer, the education of ministry so impress and advise us accordingly to the nursery school to a primary school. In 2017, we transit to a primary school where our academic programmer is second to more in the region. In the recent national assessment test our school request 100% passes due to quality our excellent academic teaching method in the school.
Standard Education System:
the education system is in the sense that every class is allocated to a minimum number of students like 30 students to a class with a classroom teacher, every child is given the chance to take part in every education activities like classwork, homework and group discussion. All students are given home work every day and are expected to report in class the next day. Study classes are also conducted to improve the learning skills of the students and for teacher to finish their syllabus on time.
Learning Process
Debate competition: this include pupils of all grades to complete on a particular topic both internal and external. Quiz competition: this includes pupils and teacher coming together during Fridays or other days of the term for pupils to compete in their various grades on questions related to their course. This includes external competitions too. News cast: the staff and pupils formed a press and drama club in which pupils are train on news findings and reading at the assembly and during moral time. Extra classes: the school organize extra class to all students after the official contact hours. This is done to help pupils who fail to understand lesion done at the official times to ask their follows as well as the teacher concern. It also helps teachers. To complete the syllabus as well as cover other areas outside the curriculum when necessary.
Moral Lesson
Most of the students are from good family background with good moral attitude. They always show respect to their teachers and their fellow student, they never disrespect their teachers because of the good family background they came from. In the school also every Friday there is a moral lesson, where by the Quranic teacher and the English teacher gives moral lesson to the students so as they can show respect everywhere they might see themselves in.
Achievement in The School
After the school had been established in 2006 November, with the participation of the community taking the ownership of the community based organization, we moved forward steadily in the area of quality education. The enrollment rate is good in the first years of operational. We operated as a basic cycle with only grade 1 in 2017 /18 academic year. The following year, there are transfers from other schools. Now we have grade 1 to four. In 2019 /20 we have grade 1 to grade 6. The movement of students from one school to ours proof. Our hardworking, committeemen, quality education deliberation to the people of the country. All our teaching staff are trained and gain years of teaching experiences from the teachers collage.
